OBJECT 0.2

Material:
Leek fiber, leek shoots, sugar beet, plant cellulose
Processing: The leek was heat-treated to soften it and bring out its fibrous structure. The resulting leek fibers were dyed in a water suspension combined with beet broth.

Papermaking:
The dyed leek fibers and plant cellulose were enriched with charcoal in an aqueous suspension. Sheets were formed using a paper mold and deckle, shaped on a triangular base. The triangular form was conceived as part of a jigsaw-like series, where each object connects conceptually within a cycle of works.
Drying and Finishing: Object 0.2 was naturally dried in shaded, enclosed conditions. Drying in a dark room helped preserve the color without bleaching from natural light. After forming, the piece was coated with varnish to stiffen the fibers and enhance the color saturation.
